DESCRIPTION

Great Big Game Show hosts are world-class hospitality experts who are genuinely delighted to anticipate each individual guest’s needs, enthusiastically serve them, and do whatever it takes to make their day!

Hosts at Great Big Game Show will lead guests through our live game show experiences. In each hour-long game show, contestants earn points for their team by competing in 8-10 minigames. These minigames feature a variety of physical, trivia, luck, and skill challenges, giving every contestant an opportunity to shine. Hosts will introduce each game, add fun commentary, track points, and ultimately award a winner. Check out this video to see what it’s like to play Great Big Game Show!

Hosts set the tone for the entire experience by delivering an upbeat, conversational introduction to groups of 2-14 guests, and they connect with guests of all ages to make their visit as fun and memorable as possible. During gameplay, hosts will introduce each minigame, keep the energy up by adding fun commentary, track points, award a winning team, and ensure every single guest enjoys their experience. After the game, hosts celebrate with guests and reset studio components accurately and efficiently.

OUR MISSION

To design and deliver epic interactive experiences for every single guest.

OUR VISION

To define and dominate the live game show industry and disrupt the world of entertainment.

OUR VALUES

PASSION

We love our guests, our brand, and our games.

INTEGRITY

We endeavor to honor God through hard work, honesty, fairness, and generosity.

CREATIVITY

We are always expanding the boundaries of what is possible.

TEAMWORK

We can best accomplish our goals by selflessly working together.

EXCELLENCE

We are relentless in our pursuit to be the best.

GROWTH

We believe in expanding our business and developing our team members.

At Great Big Game Show, we are serious about our mission, vision, and values, and we treat every person we interact with during our workday as an honored guest, whether they’re a paying player, our teammate, or our leader. People are the heart of our business, and everything we do revolves around serving each other. Team members aren’t required to memorize our mission, vision, and values, but you will need to understand and embody them to excel in your role.

WE ARE GUEST-OBSESSED

Because of our deep commitment to our mission statement, when a guest has anything less than an epic experience, it is our job and our joy to fix it. We believe a service failure occurs either when 1) we fail to deliver epic or 2) the guest perceives we failed to deliver epic. The guest’s perception is our reality.

At Great Big Game Show, we never argue with guests or force them to defend their point of view. Proving the guest “wrong” doesn’t benefit GBGS in any way. It only upsets guests more, meaning they’ll probably never come back or recommend us to others. Instead, we simply align ourselves with their reality and work through the problem until they love GBGS again. It doesn’t matter if the guest is right or wrong – all that matters is that they are genuinely cared for!

STANDARDS

All guest-facing team members must align with GBGS’s Uniform Standards while at work, including the following:

  • Facial piercings such as septum, eyebrow, lip, tongue, or dermal piercings are not permitted.
  • Only two stud earrings per ear and one small nose ring or stud can be worn while at work. Team members may wear up to two rings on their fingers. No other jewelry is permitted.
  • Name tags should only display the team member’s name. Stickers, non-Great Big Game Show pins, or any additional text or decorations are not permitted on your nametag.

ADDITIONAL NOTE

GBGS is a drug and alcohol-free workplace. Per our legal handbook, GBGS reserves the right to conduct drug tests upon reasonable suspicion or request a drug test prior to hire. If GBGS conducts a drug test on reasonable suspicion, store managers must promptly detail in writing the circumstances which formed that suspicion. Should an employee refuse to take a pre-employment or reasonable suspicion drug test, it can result in termination. All job offers are contingent upon passing a pre-employment background check.

Please note that this is a non-exempt role with GBGS. Click here for an overview of benefits currently offered for local store team members. Please note that some benefits are only available to full-time team members.
