What is Job Search Academy by Indeed?

The Job Search Academy is a free, virtual career development program brought to you by Indeed and Texas Southern University to help you excel in your job search. It is a one-stop shop that presents all of Indeed’s resources and educational programs in one place, helping make the job search more accessible to job seekers everywhere.

The Academy curates and organizes the full breadth of Indeed’s career resources into one structured learning experience, already in use by more than 200 colleges, workforce boards, nonprofits, and government agencies nationwide. All content is completely free and available on demand, so students can access it anytime around their schedule.

With the Job Search Academy, you’ll gain confidence in these five key areas of the job search process:

  • Job Search Strategy — Learn 7 steps for a successful job search to help you get closer to better work with ease and efficiency.
  • Resume Writing — Get tips on how to present yourself on paper to stand out to hiring managers and get your foot in the door.
  • Interview Prep — Learn the 4 questions you must be able to answer to ace your interviews and show why you should be hired.
  • Offer Evaluation & Salary Negotiation — Learn how to evaluate opportunities and negotiate your salary to find the best job, company, and pay.
  • Career Management — Get 8 career management tips to help you understand your new role and lead to better work for a lifetime.

  • Live Webinars & Workshops — Live webinars are offered on a monthly basis, including Ask a Career Strategist Q&A sessions, an Indeed Bootcamp on how to use the platform effectively, and topical panels featuring guest speakers on core career topics. Past recordings are also available.

How TSU Students Can Access Job Search Academy — For Free

The Job Search Academy is a free program brought to you by Indeed and Texas Southern University. No subscription or application is required.

Step 1: Go to the TSU portal or access it through the TSU Career Pathways Center at cpc.tsu.edu/resources/job-search-academy-by-indeed and click “View Resource.”

Step 2: Sign in with your TSU credentials Log in using your TSU Single Sign-On (SSO) username and password to access the platform.

Step 3: Explore the 5-part Academy Game Plan Start with the on-demand workshops covering the five core job search areas. Each workshop is about one hour long and can be watched at your own pace or alongside a live webinar.

Step 4: Attend live webinars Sign up for upcoming live webinars to ask questions directly to Indeed career strategists and industry professionals, or watch past recordings at any time.

Step 5: Use Indeed’s job tools Set up or update your Indeed profile to start applying for jobs, use Career Scout for personalized AI-guided job search support, and track your applications all in one place.
