PNC National Center for Entrepreneurship

What is the PNC National Center for Entrepreneurship?

A $16.8 million, five-year grant from the PNC Foundation created the Howard University and PNC National Center for Entrepreneurship, a national initiative focused on providing economic opportunities for HBCU students, alumni, and Black entrepreneurs broadly.

The Howard University x PNC National Center for Entrepreneurship – Southwest Region (HUxPNC-SW) supports HBCU students and business owners in Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas. It is part of the HUxPNC national network. The other regional hubs are located at Howard University (Mid-Atlantic), Clark Atlanta University (Southeast), and Morgan State University (Mid-South).

Through PNC’s support, the Center for Entrepreneurship provides programming, access to capital, education, research, and much more to help expand opportunities for Black businesses across the country. The center’s purpose is to educate and empower entrepreneurs of color with resources to remove persistent barriers to succeeding.
