BookPage Design & Marketing Intern

Position Summary

The Design & Marketing Intern will work closely with the Brand & Production Manager and Marketing Manager at BookPage to create engaging content and assist with day-to-day design and marketing operations. This is a part-time role ideal for a creative, detail-oriented student looking to gain hands-on experience in graphic design, social media marketing, email marketing, and content management. Only students local to the Nashville area will be considered.

Primary Responsibilities

Social Media Design & Content Creation

  • Design engaging graphics for web and social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other channels as needed.
  • Film and edit short-form videos
  • Assist with brainstorming creative campaign ideas and content concepts.

Social Media Management

  • Schedule social media posts using BookPage’s social media management platform.
  • Review scheduled posts for accuracy, formatting, links, and tags
  • Review content calendars and ensure posts are published according to schedule.

Email Marketing

  • Build and format email newsletters using established templates.
  • Insert text, images, links, and other content into email campaigns.
  • Proofread newsletters for formatting consistency, spelling, and broken links.

Design Support

  • Make revisions to existing marketing materials.
  • Organize and maintain design files and assets.
  • Assist with other graphic design projects as needed.

Desired Qualifications

  • Current student pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Located in the Nashville area
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms and current content trends.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Interest in marketing, branding, publishing, or digital communications.

Hours and Pay

This role pays 12 dollars an hour. Schedule can be flexible depending on school schedule but hours will not exceed 12 hours per week.
